Do you want to see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and lions? Uganda's got them. If bird watching is your thing, we'll be in some of Africa's best birding spots. The price of the trip includes all air from Wichita, two gorilla trekking permits, one chimpanzee trekking permit, and all the amazement and fun you might crave. "Nothing can really prepare you for Africa: it is too full of extremes and contrasts, too immense – a spectrum of creation so much wider and more vivid than anywhere else that it seems to require a new set of senses, or the rediscovery of lost ones." Tanzania In February of 2010, Jim Marlett, Assistant Zoo Director, escorted a group of travelers to Tanzania, Africa on our latest safari adventure hosted by Sedgwick County Zoo. Tanzania is renowned for its wildlife and this safari was arranged to experience some of the best Tanzania has to offer. We timed it for the peak wildlife-viewing season when the vast herds of the great migration have followed new growth to the Southern Serengeti. At Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, we arranged for small, intimate luxury camps to avoid the crowds that flock to these wildlife havens. Please enjoy the slideshow of photos and movies from this great adventure. If you have questions regarding this trip or future trips feel free to call 316-266-8202 or send an e-mail to jmarlett@scz.org. | Contacts Sedgwick County Zoo Hours of Operation
