Hard Workers. Draft horses are very large horses used for heavy work. We tend to think of them pulling plows or wagons, but large breeds were once important as war horses, carrying knights in heavy armor.

Traits and Trivia

  • Often over 18 hands tall (6 feet)
  • May weigh over 1 1/2 tons (3000 pounds)
  • Known as the "gentle giants" due to their friendly nature.
