DONATE

One of our biggest commitments and challenges at the Sedgwick County Zoo is to keep membership and admission prices affordable to those that we serve. To achieve that goal, it is imperative to develop an endowment for generations to come.
Endowment funding will provide continuing support for the programs and exhibits our community has helped to establish. Modern zoos, like Sedgwick County Zoo, are sophisticated operations. The cost of feeding 2,500 animals, maintaining buildings and grounds, and making needed infrastructure repairs is on-going. Daily admissions and memberships play a very important part in Zoo funding, but only amount to a fraction of the operational costs of opening our doors daily and caring for our incredible animal residents.

We must prepare for the future by investing in what we have already built. Endowment is fundamentally important to realizing the long-term vision of the Sedgwick County Zoo while keeping the Zoo affordable to those we wish to serve.
