Early Childhood
All classes require pre-registration and prepayment

WEE WIGGLERS
These 30-minute programs provide 12 through 23 month-old children with a first hand experience of the wonders of animals. These programs take place in the Cargill Learning Center and include interactive learning and an animal visitor. The fee of $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers covers one adult and one child for one program. Additional 12-23 month olds or adults will be charged $2 each (no older or younger siblings please, including infants). Programs take place at 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM.  Space is limited. 
Mar 5, 6: Frog, Apr 1, 2: Snake, May 7, 8: Turtle

OWLET
These 45-minute programs provide 2 through 3 year old children with a glimpse of wildlife up close. The programs take place in the Cargill Learning Center and include interactive learning and an animal visitor. The fee of $6 for members and $8 for nonmembers covers one adult and one child for one program. Additional 2 through 3 year olds or adults will be charged $3 each (no older or younger siblings please, including infants). Programs take place at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM. Space is limited.

EWE and ME
These 1 ½ hour programs for children age 4 through Kindergarten and an adult take place at the Cargill Learning Center and include interactive learning, a Zoo walk, story time and a take-home craft. The fee of $8 for members and $10 for nonmembers covers one child and one adult. Additional 4 – 5 year olds or adults will be charged $4 each (no younger or older siblings please, including infants). These programs take place rain, cold or shine. Programs take place at 10:00 AM, or 1:30 PM.  Space is limited.

BEDTIME PAJAMA PARTY
Bring your youngsters to the Zoo all ready for bed for this 1 1/2 hour program held in the Cargill Learning Center.  For up to five family members, children ages 0-kindergarten.  For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, no older siblings please.  Each class includes a discussion, craft, Zoo experience, bedtime story, and snack.  Kids are encouraged to come in their pajamas. Programs take place at 6:30 PM.  Space is limited.

Primary Students

Homeschool Expeditions
This self paced class is a family Friendly Odyssey designed for kids working at grade level 1-5! Each adventure focuses on a different exhibit, animal or geographic region. We provide the worksheets to be done while in the zoo, a fact filled teacher packet and a thirty minute zoo lab experience, you provide the walking feet, clipboard and pencil! Check in frequently to see what trek awaits you next! Programs take place at 10:00 AM.

Wonders of Wildlife Workshops give children the opportunity to learn about our animals in fun and innovative ways. Space is limited! This is a program for students only, please!  The fee of $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers covers one school age child unless otherwise stated. ZOOper Kids

ECO EXPLORERS
These 1 1/2 hour classes are designed for students in middle to high school.  We will be going outside and really digging deep in the wonders of animals and nature.  No experience is necessary to have loads of fun!!!  The fee of $8 for members, $10 for nonmembers covers one student. Program times vary; contact the Cargill Learning Center at 266-8213 for the current schedule.

FAMILY FUN
Come to the Zoo and learn as a family.  These 1 1/2 hour classes are for up to five family members ages 5 years and up.  Classes are held at the Cargill Learning Center.  Program times vary; contact the Cargill Learning Center at 266-8213 for the current schedule. 
The cost is $17 for members and $19 for nonmembers.

Adult/Seniors

LECTURE SERIES
Leave the kids behind!  These classes are designed for adults over 18 years of age and focus on different aspects of the Zoo or conservation issues.  Classes are generally one and one half hours long.  Prices are $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers. Program time is 6:30 PM.
Mar 26: Green Thumb, May 20: Why Don't We Have a...?

Learn more about our world and those with whom we share it.  Come join us for an evening of food and fun, as we explore other cultures and their environment in our new adult education series.  This series of programs will take us all over the world to explore diverse cultures, their wonderful food, and the environment in which they live their lives.  Prices are $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Program time is 6:30 PM. Space is limited. 
Apr 30: Scotland For wine novices and connoisseurs: an entertaining and casual atmosphere where we will explore tastes from all over the world.  Labels and names of wines are large parts of why we buy wine.  Take a sip on the wild side as we learn more about wines and the animals in their names!  Prices are $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers. Program time is 6:30 PM.  Space is limited.
 

SENIOR WEDNESDAYS
This exciting adventure is held every Wednesday all over Wichita at different locations.  The program includes breakfast sundries, an informational chat and a tour or special guest. It is held at Sedgwick County Zoo on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 AM.

Make sure you visit the Wichita Museum of Art, the Ulrich Museum, the Historical Museum, the Wichita Downtown Public Library, Great Plains Nature Center, Old Cow Town Museum, Exploration Place, WATER Center and CityArts for other class listings.  Pre registration is not required. This class is for active guests over 55 and is $4.00 per adult. 

STROLLER MOM SAFARI CLASSES

1 1/2 hour programs for adult + stroller child include stretch period, power walk, exhibit tour, and social time.  Fee of $10 for members, $12 for nonmembers or $25 if you sign up for 3.  Program time is 9:30 AM.
