Gifts Take Many Forms

Gifts to the Zoo come in various forms—event sponsorships, commemorative gifts, contributing memberships or planned giving. Gifts can be made anonymously or can be recognized publicly through a variety of options, including naming opportunities at the Zoo and other programs that honor the donor in perpetuity. For more information, please review our Donor Privacy Policy.

Event Sponsorship

As the No. 1 outdoor family tourist attraction in Kansas, the ability to reach thousands of people with your marketing message is available through our sponsorship program.

Partnering with the Zoo could allow your message to be seen by more than 500,000 people annually. In addition, individual special events reach anywhere from 1,000 to 20,000 people collectively through on-site promotion at the Zoo and local media support.

If you are interested in partnering with the Zoo to maximize your marketing dollars to families with strong economic buying power, give us a call and we can create a package exclusively for you.

Commemorative Gifts

Make a gift in honor of a friend, relative or colleague for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and holidays. Memorial gifts can also be made.

  • Your honoree will be notified of your thoughtfulness and you will receive an acknowledgment for your gift.
  • Remember to include the name of the person you are honoring when you make your gift.

Your Decision Today
Can Ensure Our Tomorrow

When you consider how Sedgwick County Zoo has flourished during its brief history, what you might foresee for its future is nothing short of breathtaking. Today your Zoo is a resource not only to our community, but to the many rare and endangered species it works to protect; to the children of all ages who learn about the natural world here; to the thousands of visitors from throughout our region and the world who have made it the No. 1 outdoor family tourist attraction in Kansas. As one of America's 10 largest zoos in acreage, it is also among the top 20 in species variety.

But the Zoo's rise to such prominence was no accident. Each progressive step we've taken was made possible through the generosity of people like you, people who recognize our unique role in not only protecting and preserving our natural treasures, but also in nurturing and sustaining this community treasure.

It is in this spirit of consideration, of commitment to nature and to posterity, that Sedgwick County Zoo has established a program for planned giving. For people like you who care deeply about animals, about our community, and about the future, here is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy that honors both the donors and the things they care about.

Please contact us if you have chosen to remember Sedgwick County Zoo in your estate planning, or if you would like further details on ways to include the Zoo in your plans. A gift to Sedgwick County Zoo in your estate plan will build our endowment and support programs to assure a future Zoo for generations to come.
