Get Into Nature: O.W.L.Site
Sedgwick County Zoo is proud to be the state’s only certified OWL (Outdoor Wildlife Learning) Site in a zoo. The area is designed to attract native wildlife and to encourage families to get out and enjoy nature. Stop by and play when visiting the Children's Farms, site is located next to the American barn yard!
We encourage you to visit the O.W.L.Site and explore the log, build a lean-to, discover some of the crops grown in Kansas, and watch for birds, butterflies and lizards. Things are always changing in the O.W.L.Site so stop by each visit to the Zoo.
This program is sponsored by the Chickadee Checkoff of the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism.
